My career in recruitment began at some of the world's leading search firms, where I cut my teeth on high-stakes mandates and learned to navigate the nuances of international hiring within Japan's demanding business culture.
Taking that foundation, I founded my own recruitment agency in Tokyo - starting with a focused niche in IT and technology talent. Over the years I expanded that into a cross-functional operation spanning IT, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Back Office, with placements across Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
I have sold two businesses in Japan - an experience that gave me intimate knowledge of M&A at the SME level, business valuation, and what it really takes to build something worth buying. That entrepreneurial track record now informs how I advise founders and business owners entering or operating in Japan.
Today I lead recruitment delivery at Hi-Tech Japan in Tokyo - focused on delivering hiring outcomes across multiple disciplines for clients in the Japan market.
